1. Who we are

TCGBOX.co.uk ("TCGBOX", "we", "us", "our") is a trading name of Matt Addison, a sole trader registered at 48 Clementine Way, Eastleigh, Hampshire, SO50 7QG, United Kingdom. We sell sealed trading card products online at tcgbox.co.uk. You can contact us at any time at matt@tcgbox.co.uk and we will reply as quickly as we can.

We are not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is charged on your order.

Our store is powered by Shopify.

2. These terms

These Terms of Service, together with our Shipping Policy, Return and Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, set out the basis on which we sell to you. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read them before you buy.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

3. Who can buy

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to order for you.

4. Our products

We sell factory-sealed trading card products, mainly Simplified Chinese language Pokemon TCG product, alongside accessories and novelty items.

Sealed product is sold sealed. What is inside any individual pack or box is random and determined by the manufacturer, and we have no control over or knowledge of it. We do not open, weigh, search or reseal product. We cannot guarantee that any particular card will be pulled, and we cannot offer refunds or replacements based on the contents of a sealed product.

Some items we sell are parody or novelty products (for example the Pokenots range). These are clearly labelled as unofficial and are not licensed by or affiliated with The Pokemon Company.

Product photographs are as accurate as we can make them, but colours may look different depending on your screen. Where a product is described as "random style", the style you receive is chosen at random and cannot be selected at checkout.

Pokemon and all related names are trademarks of their respective owners. TCGBOX is an independent retailer and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Pokemon Company, Nintendo, Creatures Inc. or GAME FREAK inc.

5. Orders

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation email. If we cannot accept your order, for example because an item is out of stock or a price was listed incorrectly, we will contact you and refund you in full.

We reserve the right to limit or decline orders that appear to be for commercial resale.

6. Prices and payment

All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are the price you pay for the item. Delivery is charged separately and is shown at checkout before you pay.

Prices can change at any time, but the price that applies to your order is the one shown when you place it. If a price is obviously wrong, we will contact you before dispatching and you can confirm or cancel.

Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify Payments or PayPal. We never see or store your full card details.

7. Delivery

We currently deliver within the United Kingdom only.

We post Monday to Saturday. Orders placed before 2pm on a posting day are dispatched the same day; orders after that go out on the next posting day. We do not post on Sundays or UK bank holidays.

Delivery times quoted are estimates provided by Royal Mail and are not guaranteed. Full details, costs and services are set out in our Shipping Policy.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. If your parcel does not arrive, contact us and we will investigate and put it right.

8. Cancelling and returning

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, and a further 14 days to return the goods. You can also return items to us for 30 days after delivery provided they remain sealed and unopened. Full details, including who pays return postage, are in our Return and Refund Policy.

9. Faulty or damaged items

If an item arrives damaged, faulty or is not what you ordered, contact us within 48 hours with photographs and we will replace it or refund you in full including postage. This is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

10. Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for unforeseeable loss, or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as postal strikes or extreme weather.

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products. Because we sell to consumers, nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.

11. Website content

The text, images, logos and design on tcgbox.co.uk belong to us or are used with permission, and may not be copied or reused commercially without our written consent. You are welcome to view, share and link to our pages for personal use.

12. Using our site

Please do not use our site unlawfully, attempt to interfere with it or its security, or use automated tools to scrape or overload it. We may restrict access if you do.

13. Relationship with Shopify

TCGBOX is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, any sales and purchases you make in our Store are made directly with TCGBOX. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and TCGBOX, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services. You hereby expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with TCGBOX.

14. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own country's courts.

17. Complaints and contact

If something has gone wrong, email matt@tcgbox.co.uk and we will do our best to sort it out quickly. If we cannot resolve it between us, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution scheme or take the matter to court.
